I supported this by auditing their social and digital content, writing PR releases and leveraging AI tools to synthesize insights for strategic decision-making. I also helped streamline customer support through a cross-functional project that integrated end-user training directly into the Genie Serial Hub platform.

Intern Capstone Project

As part of Genie’s internship program, interns are invited to participate in a cross-functional capstone project following the company’s official New Product Development (NPD) process. I was the first marketing intern to join this initiative, serving simultaneously as the Marketing Manager and Product Manager on a four-person team. Over seven weeks, we collaborated across functions to develop a new service concept and present our final proposal to Genie’s executive leadership team.
Problem Statement:
End-user operators often lack easy access to official training videos, resulting in inconsistent training quality and limited product understanding.
Solution:
Integrate foundational training videos directly into Genie’s all-in-one QR platform, Genie Serial Hub, a central resource for manuals, parts ordering and essential product information. This enhancement would give operators immediate access to accurate training content at the point of use.
My Role:
As the Marketing Manager and Product Manager, I developed the marketing timeline and strategy for our capstone project, conducted competitive research, and introduced Figma as the tool for creating our online product demo. My work ensured the marketing direction was clear, organized, and aligned with the project’s overall goals.
